We're Back

GEORGE

Hi everyone, we're here! Mom & Dad are back safely from Mew Jersey and aside from a few problems, their trip was OK. They drove in rain all the way there, had a dead battery when they left Grampa's house, ran into snow in the Pennsylvania mountains on the way home, and arrived home tired, but safe.

Thanks to all my friends that waved as they went past your houses. They said they saw everyone!

This time they brought back a toy for us - a catnip mouse in a trash can. OK, what's wrong with this picture...1 toy for 4 cats? They kept saying how glad they were to see us and how much they missed us. Well, you'd think we'd each get a toy wouldn't you! Actually, I don't play as much as I used to, so I think I'll let Misty have this toy. I prefer to rest and meditate more these days. And Tipper & Max don't play as much as they used to either, so maybe Mom was right in getting just 1 toy. Well...at least I got to smell the catnip in it.

Now, on to checking up on everyone's blogs!

I am glad your humans are back safely, but really, 1 present for 4 cats? This is abuse, George. You need to train them better!

Sorry humans, but we agree with George and Eric. If you don't play with toys anymore, then they SHOULD have gotten you a present you would enjoy and use. After all, you did SUFFER through how many days without their services? Glad they made it home though - sounds like they had quite a trip back. -- Alberta, Sky, Blackie, Charlie and (Oligarchy member in training) Maggie Fu

Oh George, happy halloween from all of us! Great toy! Cheysuli and I would come and play with that with you but Georgia also likes to meditate a bit more.

How's your new diet coming along, George? Is it better than your tuna water?

Well wishes from the kxbc gang.

Tsk, you see, my People would have done that too, thinking Buddah plays more than I do. But it's not the TOY, it's the POINT. I get so snarky when they do that that now they buy 2 and figure Buddah will play with them both.

They shoudl give you lots of crunchy treats to make up for it.

Glad they're back safe and sound, and you got back online! You will need to go to my archives site for recent blogs. Blogger isn't the only system with problems...my trellix blog is too!
So, I've been blogging on the archives site. That toy thing does sound a little unfair. Maybe you can all take turns playing with it!

I am completely with you on this one, George. Your face says it all: "The nerve...!"

Let's hope Misty gets some enjoyment out of it though!

They still should have gotten more toys! One never knows when the inspiration to play will hit and you must have plenty of toys to choose from!

I'm glad your beans got home safe. We waved! sigh, one toy. I'm one cat and I likes mommy to get more than one toy. They should gets lotsa stinky goodness for you to make up for it.

I'm glad they got back safely! I, too, am puzzled by the one gift/four cats phenomenon.

As for the actual toy? It looks like a tube of lipstick to me. I hope that's not the intent! I would hate to open up the can, raise a little mouse out and have him lick color onto my lips.

Hate it, that is...unless he has a great new shade that will make my fur look wicked cool!

I'm thinking that had they gotten 4 toys like they should have, the Cat Goddess would have given them warm and sunny weather and no dead battery. What do you think?

Glad your peoples are home safe! I think William is right. Clearly they were being punished for only getting one toy for you. If three of you don't care about toys much there should have been other presents for you. I would put on my sad face and look at the toy and look at them and look at the toy again and sigh disappointedly. That always works on my OTW.

Thank you for voting on the pictures for the calendar! I had sent them on already, but #4 was one of the ones I so your vote counts anyway!

Yeah William is definitely on to something, but I'm happy your Mom and Dad made it home safe... and that's the best gift, right? Could you please tell Misty that Harlie thanks her for her encouragement? She's healing just fine and she's glad to meet another pretty girlcat her age!
