Checking Out the Bags

MOM

Max!! What are you doing in that bag?

MAX

Uh...nothing?

MOM

What do you mean "nothing"? I could hear you rustling around in there all the way from the kitchen.

MAX

Well, there are all these bags here and I thought maybe Santa came and there might be something for me in one of them.

MOM

No, Santa didn't come yet, but he'll be here soon. And he might see you looking in these bags. Why don't you go sit on your perch right away so he doesn't catch you snooping around.

Misty! What are you doing in there now?!

MISTY

Well Max looked in this one, so I can too!!! I don't think Santa will see me!

Oh, Sam loves the paper sacks that Mommy brings home from the store! He crawls inside and sleeps. Mommy has to take the handles off the bags, cause Sam likes to stick his head through them.

I do not think Santa will mind that you looked through a few bags.

I believe when Moms (or Dads) come home with lots of bags, they should make sure to bring something home with them for the cats. Dogs, too. To not do so is selfish!

Misty, I think you are right. It's the excuse I use when Momma yells at me!

Snooping in the bags is the best part!

I'm not entirely sure, but I think Santa is the type of guy who wouldn't mind you cats exploring bags if they were like right there for you to explore. He probably wouldn't want you snooping around at the North Pole, but in your own home descrete snooping is probably ok.

Santa won't care. even he knows that if a person doesn't want the cat to get into the bag, then the bag should be placed where the cat can't get to it. That's the LAW.

You did the right thing, guys--bags must be inspected upon entering the house.
