A Lesson for the Day

GEORGE

Mom saw a commercial on TV about reducing belly fat. As I happened to be walking around on the coffee table at the time, she reached over and rudely grabbed my belly and made some snide remark about it.

Speak for yourself, woman!! Do I go around grabbing your belly?!

For your information, I think I look just fine. OK, I'll admit a have a very small...alright, a medium sized pouch in that area, but it's nothing any other mature gentleman cat of my age doesn't have. I have no plans to change anything about my food intake or my lack of exercise, so let's have some food in this bowl!!

MAX

She didn't mention the "D" word again, did she?! I'm the bigger brother in this family. Should I be worried?

GEORGE

Calm down and remember what I taught you. We're in charge around here and everything is under control. It's very simple, Max... if she feeds us the wrong thing, we throw up or refuse to eat. Then she gets all worried, caves in and gives us what we want. We just have to stand firm!! We can hold out longer than she can.

All you kittens out there, this is an important lesson. Learn it early and learn it well and you'll always be fed what you want!

George, you are a very wise man cat. We aren't kittens but sometimes we forget how much power we have. Thanks for jogging our memories.

You're absolutely right, George. Spontaneous puking does it every time. No human female can withstand listening to our wretching.

Wisely spoken. And the indignity getting teased with your manly pouch!

That doesn't fly around here...since that pet food scare Mommy has been using Merrick a family owned business in the USA. Just when it seemed things were getting better, babies died in China from the same thing. Nothings purrrfect but she feels it's safer to know about our food source. Mommy says if all else fails she will have to get a blender and make it herself! That might be good 'cause we love the smell of her people fool and the samples she gives us. She has promised to grow fresh catnip, we are happy about that!!!=^Y^=the Cat Street Boyz

POWER TO THE KITTIES!!!

Never let the People forget who's in charge!

(and poke 'em in the belly once in a while. It's for their own good...)

What is it with our moms? Mine says I have a squishy girl belly. I think that's pretty rude too.

We get those snide comments all the time too. She that accuses should look to herself first!

I have taught my mum and dad that I will only eat very good and expensive ham. It took them a while but they learnt their lessons.
