I'm Outraged!!
GEORGEI was helping Dad make sandwiches this morning, hoping to get some ham. Naturally I was meowing, reminding him almost non-stop, that I was waiting!
Well, do you know what he said? He said my meow was pathetic. Me...PATHETIC?! What nerve!!! What kind of thing is that to say about your favorite son? Well OK, Max is his favorite too, but I'm the older favorite!
I'll have you know Dad, that I'm a Mancat extraordinaire, and my meow is NOT pathetic!! If you weren't going deaf and heard me the first time I meowed, maybe I wouldn't have to ask a squillion times until my meower darn near gives out, just to get a bite of ham!

Our Dad laughs at Kirby's meow, too. I, Angel, have a big meow cause I want every one to know I am there. Kirby has a little meow that breaks up. Did you get the ham?
I am told I am pathetic all the time. Humans just don't understand us...

P'shaw...I'm sure you have a nice meow. Some perfectly fine meows are nice and soft and not at all "manly" sounding. And you weren't being patheitc, you were being polite, right? Saying please? Maybe that's it, he just doesn't recognize "please." I know my people don't...
You should have jumped up on the counter and put the bitey on that ham, George! Well, that's what I'd do, but then I'd probably get in trouble. I think it would be worth it for ham though.

I know what you mean about the humans appearing to be deaf at times. But, my Mom just keeps saying "Just a minute" so I KNOW she hears me. That minute is just soooooo long!
