Sorry, not interested
I don't usually write as myself on Crew's Views, but want to address a problem that's been happening for the past few weeks.
Recently we've gotten several comments in an Asian language from "fengfk2008" . These comments contain links to websites containing sexual content. At first I thought the messages were coming into our email address and marked them as spam, notifying our email provider, but now I see they're being left directly on the blog comment section and are simply being forwarded to our email along with your comments.
Until now I haven't felt the need to run word verification on this blog since I think it's just a pain that adds an extra step for us all. We all have so little time to keep up the way it is, I didn't feel it was necessary until now. I'm adding word verification temporarily to see if it stops this creep. If necessary I'll go to comment moderation, but don't really have the time for that.
I haven't noticed "fengfk2008" leaving comments on anyone else's page. Am I the only one being bothered?
Does anyone know how I can notify Blogger about this? The only information I have aside from the ID given is www.blogger.com.profile/11058833765535249401.

We are so sorry you are being bothered by a spammer! We haven't received anything like that and we are unsure how to report them to blogger. We sure hope you can get it worked out so they will leave you alone!
I would look around on bloggers home page and then write customer service. It's good that you have a blogger id--this will help shut them down. You may not be seeing them on other blogs because they haven't found them yet or because other places do have the word verification. There are times when they just find what blogs they find and spam them. We really hate spammers. We have a spam filter on our comments with WordPress and believe me it gets used! We pick up thousands in a couple of weeks! I think you've been lucky to have as few as you've had prior to this!
Stinky spam!!
We found out that we were getting TONS of spam on some old posts because we don't check those for new comments. One post had over 50 spam comments! So, we added Comment Moderation for any post older than 2 days, since we always check the recent posts for comments. It works great, because not only can you catch the spam but if a friend leaves a comment on an older post, I'm sure not to miss it.
ps: I got this idea from Not The Mama!
I think I don't get a lot of the junk comments because I use Haloscan for commenting. Either that or I'm just so wonderful everyone behaves themselves on my blog.
Um, yeah... LOL
I'll poke around the Blogger site and see if I can find a contact email address or something. Surely they have a way to help...
That stinks! We haven't had any trouble, but we haven't checked our older posts. We're gonna take Daisy's suggestion for the old ones.
That's too bad that the jerk is spamming you. Wordpress has a thing where you can add certain phrases or words to the spam filter and they won't get through. It's pretty good at catching them also. We still have comment moderation but the only ones that seem to get through are for casinos online, and we delete when we see them. We understand about having to use word verification.
Oh man, that really sucks. We like to leave da word verifikashon off too cuz, well, who has time to type dat in all day long! We haven't checked our old posts either, maybe we'll do what Daisy sed...
Misty, mom is gonna set up da kennel fur us dis afternoon. Wanna come over and check out da breezes wif me?~Speedy
That stinks. Our the mom started to look for information on this ID and it appears that maybe it's gone already? we doesn't know. we hadded lots of spam even with word verification, but we found that just having no anony-mouse comments stopped all of the spam we were getting
We hate nasty comments and we're sorry you're getting them! We get the pawful of foreign spam in our mailbox (we just mark 'em as spam and delete them) but no comments because of the word verification. We don't like that either but it does help. I would let Blogger know, though. They might have a way to block this spammer.
I noticed some comments on other blogs that linked back to an Asian site that did not appear to be about cats, but was not adult content. I can't remember if it was on our blog or others cause it was a month ago or so.
It is terrible that some one wants to ruin a good thing by being ugly!
I saw Daisy's spam but never noticed anyone else having it on their comments. I wasn't using word verification either because it sure does slow you down from visiting. If I am checking post late at night those crazy letters are even harder to get, like "c & l" look like "d"! And they like to run two "n's" together and I see them as "m"! Many times I have had to do them twice but there have been those that even get harder...they get lighter or the letters bend onto others...not fun at 1am! I think the comment moderation might be best and if it happen to my boyz blog I will use that. I do think it should be reported to help the keep this problem from growing. Thanks for alerting all of us=^Y^=Holly(theBoyz Mom)OK..twice!
Mom began using word verification on our blog cuz we were getting so many comments regarding viagra and other inappropriate stuff. We haven't checked to see if whether by doing so we've missed out on some legitimate comments but we don't think so....
Why do some try to ruin a good thing???
Bad person leaving comments. I have my comments forwarded into my regular e-mail so I can check them. I get a few strange comments on really old posts sometimes.
I have used word verification when needed. That at least slows them down as a bot can do it.
We haven't got those messages, but a year ago we got a lot of group chat from some nutcakes. We had to delete all the comments for 2 days before they went away.
But we didnt use Word Verification even after that.
We haven't received messages like that although out of the blue we're now receiving lots of spam on our yahoo account.
Thank you for stopping by and for your supportive comment.
Purrs,
Ms. P and Cinza
How irritating. I hope you get it solved. Christine
How annoying. We use WordPress and got the Akismet spam filter. Takes care of all the spam.
(And no Cliff, it may sound like ham, but it's not!)
Report that blogger profile here ---

That happened to me a while back. All I had was the blogger profile, so I reported it and never received another comment from that party. Took off the word verification or monitoring and no repeat.
How annoying! It seems like you got some good advice already. If anything like it happens to us, we will resort to those methods. Thank you for celebrating my 1st birthday with me! It was much fun having you over!
Purrs, Siena
I had something similar for a while. I noticed it when I checked the blog comments directly..I have my comments forwarded, as you do, to my gmail address, where the spam filter took them out. Didn't even realize I was getting spammed! It wasn't long after that that they quit. Probably went on to "greener" pastures. Blech.
