Problem Solved

Sorry we've had limited chances for visiting and posting the last few weeks. We've been dealing with several nasty computer issues, which I'm happy to say, are now resolved. Not only did we have several viruses, trojans, rogue programs, etc. that Norton and McAfee didn't stop, but we couldn't access anything related to Google on the home computer, which meant no access to our blog except at work! The pages were all re-directed.

After spending additional money for more anti-virus programs, (beyond the big bucks the major ones already charge!!) and almost getting to the point where I was ready to take the brand new laptop in to Geek Squad, I decided to read some forums and was able to find a solution to the "can't access Google" problem by myself.

With the help of those forums and the installation of MalwareBytes & SpyHunter 3, both the home and office computers are now clean and, hopefully, will stay that way. I urge everyone to not be lulled into a false sense of security by using only Norton or McAfee alone since they won't stop all this malware. The infection we had was called Zlob and I think it came via a video.

WE were getting that Can't access Google at this time message last month. Mom uses Firefox with tabs. She had to close all the tabs and start over. But she did get it fixed.

Glad you were able to fix it. It is one reason the Woman will only surf on the Mac side and also works hard to try and use opera or another non standard browser--unfortunately firefox got all weird on us with the upgrade and we can't access blogger from opera either (OH NO!)

Oh, how awful!!! I know I was having a hard time accessing a lot of google stuff a little while back, but it sort of resolved itself. They said it was related to that virus that took over Twitter not long ago?? Ugh.
