An Apology

TIPPER

I am very mad at you, Mom...VERY mad!

Everyone in this family entered a Cat-O-Lympic event except ME! I had lots of pictures I could have posted in lots of events, but did anyone (meaning you, Mom) even ask me if I wanted to participate? NO!!

So, I will not be talking to you, Mom...not until you apologize.

::silence::

(ahem) I SAID, I'm waiting for an apology. Of course, if you were to offer me a treat of some kind that might go a long way to soothe my hurt feelings.

::silence::

MOM!! This is where you're supposed to offer me a bribe.

MOM

A bribe? Oh yes, of course...a bribe. Um, let's see. How about this?

TIPPER

What? One measly piece? Is that supposed to make me feel better?

And why are you letting George sniff it? HE entered an event! I didn't!!

MOM

OK, how about if I give you something on your own plate...something only for you.

TIPPER

Well, I don't know. I'd have to see what you're offering first.

Hmmm... salmon. I do like salmon. And there are 2 large pieces here. But what about the apology?

MOM

Yes, the apology.

I'm very, very sorry Tipp. I got busy and didn't have a chance to enter you in any events. Can you ever forgive me?

TIPPER

(nomnomnom) What wash zhat? Did you shay shomeshing?

Oh yesh...(nomnomnom) apology acshepted...(nomnomnom)

Salmon is better than mere words for an apology! Good for you for laying on enough guilt to get some. Heh.

How unfair that you couldn't enter an event. The bribery seems to be working though.

Tipp, we don't blame you for being mad. You should have held out for extra salmon before accepting the apology, though... ;)

Personally, I think I'd rather have salmon than be entered into a competition. That could just be me. Not that I got EITHER of those things...

We furgived her cuz she was doing stuff to help aminals. Still, we is gonna try yoor trick and get her to bribe us. If we can wake her up...she's napping like a cat.

Hey there, Tipper. We feel really bad that you didn't get to enter the Cat-O-Lympics. And in our event, Bird and Squirrel Watching, there is ABSOLUTELY NO DEADLINE to enter. In fact, you could post today, tomorrow, next week, next summer, etc. and we would still call it eligible!

And, to sweeten the deal, we had a multi-way tie for the Gold Medal! We have an Official Bird and Squirrel Watching Gold Medal Badge at our site for you to post on your bloggie! So enter, grab your Gold Medal, and it's all good!

Max, you can pick up your Gold Medal at your earliest convenience.

Padre, Panda Bear, Meerkat, Cookie, and Caramel

P.S. Bonus! You even got a salmon consolation from your Mom. We don't think she really wants it back. ;-)
