Stomping & Shouting
GEORGE
Oh man, everybody go hide. Mom is freakin' out!!
We have big black ants in the house and she says they're carpenter ants AND she's blaming us for not taking care of them!! Every day for the past several days, she's stomping in the kitchen & bathroom and shouting bad words and asking us why we're not getting them.
What ants? I haven't seen any. But then, unless they're up on the big bed where I nap all day under the quilt, it's unlikely I'd see them. Of course, I can't speak for Tipper, Max or Misty, but I'm sure they all have very good excuses, too for why they haven't gotten them.
Anyway, today some guy is coming to look for these big guys and get rid of them. If he needs help, you know where I'll be.

THose are big ugly fellows! We hope the guy can get them!
ants are so not worth the time and energy to hunt. they don't haf much nutritional value
Ants smanths. Why should you be the one who has to get them? Or any of the other cats?
We had some of those (but ours were little tiny guys) one day, but Mom just went around and cleaned em up with a sponge (and warm water) and they were all gone after. Last night though Mom let out a squeal (and NOT of delight) when she saw a big spider run across the floor. I am not the spider cat in the house, Tiny is, but she was sleeping downstairs and, well, I was in bed so Mom had to take her slipper and smack ol' spidey....usually Mom yells for Tiny to come get it and she does...she just runs right up to spider and eats it!! I say she can have them. Good luck with your ants...Tiny doesn't eat those or I would send her over to help. Sorry!! Purrs, Lautrec
Ewwww....ants are horrible. We get tiny spiders and ladybugs here, and we have fun playing with them!
Oh man, mom saw dat and let out a little scream. We almost losted da front of our garage to dem evil carpenter ants! It's a good thing yoor mommy saw dem, hopefully da bug guy can get rid of dem afore dey haf done any sereeus damage.
And we know you will be an excellent snoopervisor in helping him, George.
Have a wonderful weekend y'all. :)
Ha. We exterminate ants for pleasure. Never for business.
Our mom yells too! It's that time of year. ALL the creepie crawlies come out!
We find ants to be too work intensive and a little tangy for our taste. I'd leave them for the humans to deal with!
Sheesh...lazy beans, thinking cats have to do everything for them. Naps are much more important.
purrs and hugs,
The Kitty Krew
I will come and nom those ants for your mum if she wants me to. Sometimes though, I lie in the garden and the ants come out of the earth and try to nom my ears. I don't like that.

Yukky, we hate ants!
We wouldn't eat ants either. Our mommy uses Citus air freshener around the ways they can get in and they stops coming. And it not really hurts them, they just not likes it.
Has a great weekend!
We had "Some" ants in the house fer 2 weeks, They dint bother US so we really dint care. But they bothered The Big Thing. He went stompin all over the place. But they stopped, so he is happy.
What's she worried about? They're carpenter ants. Maybe they came to build her something nice...
You guys are not being paid for pest control. Tell her to take care of them herself.
My OTW growls in disgust about them too. She seems fine with them outside, but not in our kitchen. Weird humans.
We don't have them this far north I think, or maybe just not this high up, but they used to start coming in every spring in Vancouver. She would paint the door-frame with smelly oil where they came in, and stomp any already inside and they wouldn't come back again.

Does she have any idea how hard it is to catch an ant with cat paws? Maybe if she replaces the ants with mice you can be of some help.
ewwwwwwww.
