Meet Gino

Today Gino is going to talk. I put Crew in the bedroom and the visiting dog, Shasta, in her crate and brought Gino downstairs. This is his first time out of the room he and his sisters have been confined in for 10 days. Go ahead sweetie, you can talk now.

GINO

But...(looks around) there's nobody here but you and me, Gramma. Who am I talking to?

MOM

George, Tipper, Max & Misty have lots of friends who want to meet you.

GINO

But, I don't see anybody. What should I say?

MOM

Say how you are.

GINO

Um...hi everyone, I'm Gino. I can't see you but Gramma says you're there and I should tell you how I am. I'm nervous 'cause I don't know this place, but I'm glad to be out of that room upstairs where Gramma has been taking care of me and Tiger and Cricket. Tiger is crabby and she doesn't like me and she swats me and Cricket.

Gramma gives us food and water and cleans our litterbox and sometimes she plays feather with me too, but my sisters don't play much 'cause they're old. I'm young and Gramma pets me and says I'm handsome. I'm a good boy.

I don't know how long I'll live here. My Dad came to visit me a few days ago and I guess he'll tell me.

I like being downstairs and I ran. Then I walked all around with Gramma and I can sniff lots of strange smells and I don't want to go back upstairs. Gramma took some pictures of me to show you.

Uh, OK....I guess that's about it. Bye-bye.

Hello Gino! I am glad you at least have a room even if you hate being cooped up in it. I mean, imagine if you didn't have that. I hope you get out to your own place again soon.

Nice to meet you Gino! Getting used to a new home takes a while but long as the introductions are slow and you get to know everyone by sniffing their smells first, it does make it easier. We look forward to updates!

Hi Gino! You are a handsome Orange ManCat. We hope you are able to make friends with the other Cats there soon. They are all real nice and they're curious about you, too.
Maybe if your Gramma switches some of your bedding around you can start sniffing the other Cat's smells.
Take care sweetie boy.

Hi Gino! It was great to meet you! You are quite a handsome boy! And we know that it is weird to be in a new house but they will take good care of you and love you very much until you get to move back with your dad! And your gramma will play with you and hopefully your sisters will be less crabby - ladycats can be like that (we know all too well!)
