I am alone in the quiet bedroom
Waiting, hoping she will come to me
The hours pass
As I wait for
The Love of My Life

She enters, not sure if I am there
And lies on the bed in her usual place, our place
I approach, tentatively at first
She beckons me closer, softly speaking my name
The Love of my Life

Now I am next to her
Touching the familiar feel
She caresses my head and I rumble with delight
I am content with
The Love of My Life

I am bolder now
And I, in turn, caress
I taste her skin and inhale deeply
I am hers, she is mine

She is
The Love of My Life, my Mom
