Put the Plate Down

GEORGE

Mom complains constantly about this.   Most nights she eats with one hand covering her water glass and the other protecting her plate.

Well, if she would just put the darn plate down so we can help ourselves, all the contortions and confrontations could be avoided!  We get hungry too, you know!

I used to have this problem, but now I just let them lick the plate when I'm done and they are okay with that. They'll just sit nearby watching me eat and politely waiting until I am finished. Great cartoon strip!

Yep. I mean if you'd ever feed the cat when we wanted and what we wanted and also what you are eating it'd be a lot easier...

Maybe she should give you your own plate of food while she's eating. Nah...that wouldn't be any fun now, would it??

My human eats at her desk usually and there is not enough room for Binga (the main food stealer) to get up there comfortably. Problem solved.

The Beans are lucky that neither I or Eric have ever liked people food.

We love to lick the plates! Especially tomato sauce!

Depends on what mum is eating, but if we like it too, yeah, mum has to protect her plate.

Ohhhh, that got a laugh from both mom & dad! We see nothing abnormal or funny about it....

This is so funny and so true. Our angel Steamer, stole a pork chop right off Mom's plate once. And Mom also had to eat her cereal in the middle of the room to get away from Steamer. So then Steamer would jump onto Mom's back from the countertop.

Our humans have a rule of no paws on the placemat, but we know ways around that. Put your butt on while keeping your paws off. MOL.

Thank you so, so much for coming to our birthday party today. We can't believe we had never met such a fine quartet of tuxedo kitties. Mom says that she would like to subscribe to get your posts by e-mail but didn't see a way to do it. Is that possible?

My problem is more trying to read the NEWSPAPER while I eat. They flop down on it wherever I am trying to read.

They KNOW where I am looking... LOL!

Thankfully, my mom rarely eats anything we want. But if she brings home KFC, look out!
