We Didn't Do It

GEORGE

Here I am with Max watching Midnight out on the deck. As you can see, our screen door is damaged, but the cats in this family are NOT responsible.

Daisy & Shasta did it. Instead of being sensible like cats and using a litterbox, they go outside to do whatever they do out there. Then they jump on the door when they want to come back in!!!

I suppose I'll end up supervising the repair of this now. Will my work ever be done?

Dogs have no sense of what is right or wrong and we always seem to clean up their messes. Bah.

Woofies, they must learn manners.

Two more reasons puddins are better pets: we don't (usually) wreck the screens AND we supervise all repairs. In fact, there's a cat named Tie who's a plumber at The Blog Pound. Yup, woofies are too much trouble. I hear one barkin alla time near my house, but do its beans hear me? Not likely!

Want to hear something weird, George? Where we used to live (in an apartment) we had two screens that had just become mysteriously shredded. Mom couldn't figure out what was causing this because we are all such good babies. Well, one day, she was sitting in the living room when she saw the culprit. It was a FINCH! It's true! A FINCH was pulling the screen apart to build himself and his wife a home! Turns out that a bunch of FINCHES were shredding a bunch of screens ALL OVER THE COMPLEX!

I wonder if they had to pay a "pet deposit"? Pfft.
