Maps!

GEORGE

First I want to thank all the Texas kitties for watching out for my Dad. He arrived home safely last night and I had a good holding...short 'cause he was pretty tired...but still good!

I think the mystery of the map question earlier this week has been solved. We've received information on 3 maps, as follows:

1. The one William, Fat Eric & Edsel said thatTimmy made quite some time ago to map his readers, but it's very out of date because lots of the cat bloggers aren't on it. This is the one I was thinking of and was surprised to see that our marker wasn't there. I know we added it a long time ago, but we put it back on again.

If you read Timmy (who doesn't?) and want to add your location, the link is on his right sidebar near the bottom.

2. The one Magoo & his family told us about at Frappr. We didn't know about this one and don't know who made it, but we added our marker anyway.

3. Derby also mentioned one that his girlfriend Mia's Mom made to map her readers, but that's on her personal page, not Mia's page.

Thanks everyone for your input. Our group is getting very large, and we sure don't want to lose track of anyone, so it would be nice if we had something like a master list or map, sort of like the Purrthday List. Something that could include our locations, blog ID, cat member names and email (but only if you want to give it). Unfortunately, my Mom doesn't know enough about computer programs to map this all out. She said she can do research, but doesn't know how to put it all together. Can any smart cat help?

Boy, now I know I'm a senior catizen...it seems to me I saw a list of cat bloggers not that long ago, but I can't remember who made it and can't find a link! Sanjee, is there some link on your Cat Blogosphere page that I'm just not finding? (sigh) Maybe it is time for me to retire.

George you are just having a mid-life crisis! Don't retire, get a trophy kitten. Wait, you already have one!!

On Mia's purrthday list, we also have Gotcha Days. It has both so I don't think we need another seperate list.

Mum says maybe a spreadsheet that could hold all of the data. She will think on this. She could e-mail it to your mum once she thinks it out. She is not sure about how to post it on a blog though.

We looked at those maps, but one of them only seems to show the USA. So how are us European kitties supposed to put ourselves on it???!!! At least Timmy's map shows the whole world.

George, we wented looking. The big long list of blogs in on the Cat Blogoshpere. On the right hand side, just above the picture of the Squillions. See the links there for Blogging Cats, Gang and Groups etc.

While it doesn't list individual members or where they are located at least the blog names are linked.

So rest up this weekend.
