Accomodations

GEORGE

It's interesting to read about the type of homes we blogging kitties have. We are a very diverse group, but that only makes us more interesting. Some of us are single cats, some are a small family of 2 or 3 and some are in big families. Some of us live in apartments, some live in condos and some live in houses. Some live in big cities and some live on farms. Some are allowed outside - but most aren't. Most of us have to be content to view the outside from the inside - but we don't mind, 'cause we're used to it, although The Crew has been known to attempt an escape now and then.

A while back my brother, Max, gave directions on how to get to our house, but I thought I'd expand on that a bit.

My family and I have lived here forever. Well... for me forever is almost 10 years, but Mom & Dad have lived here for 23 years. Lots of our friends are moving these days, but I'm happy where I am. I have everything fixed just the way I want it and I'm stating flat out that I won't move!! I have my favorite napping places, favorite windows to see all parts of the yard and I know what's in every closet and cupboard.

Here is a picture of our house. which has 3 levels.
  • A dungeon - We are allowed down there, but except for my relaxation room in the finished part, there's not much to see. There is a storage place, the furnace and water heater things and our second litterbox.
  • A first floor - It has 2 bedrooms, the living room that Mom & Dad hardly ever go in but we do 'cause that's where the throwup couch is, the dining room that's only used for holiday dinners, the kitchen, the family room where we mainly hang out, a bathroom and the laundry place. This is where our main litterbox is. From the family room we can see our deck that the chipmunks live under and where some of the bird feeders are. We can also see the vicious deer that eat all of Mom's hosta plants.
  • A second floor - It has 2 more bedrooms and another bathroom. It also has a really great place called "The Attic". This is a place that has all kinds of neat things that we're almost never allowed to see. I'll write more about that later.
Our house also has a garage that we're never allowed to be in 'cause it's too close to the outside and Mom's always afraid we'll get out, but we can see into it if we sit on the dining room table and look through the screen door. We also have a really big yard with lots of birdies, squirrels, bunnies, chipmunks, deer & raccoons. We can see our whole yard depending on which window we sit in and sometimes we see gooses, too. The gooses come from the park across the street and stop in on their way to and from Canada.

All in all, I'd say The Crew are very lucky kitties. Yes, I'd say we've got it made!

The woman loves your house. She says she wishes we had that much space. Actually we probably have almost that much space, it's just taken up by the Human Male...

I keep telling her to sell him at the garage sale!

You live in a really beautiful home, George. Lots of places to explore and hide even. We have a big place too. It is great to hide and not respond when the mommie calls.

It is good to have places where you can sit and look outside and see all of that beautiful nature and still be safe inside.

we are inside too!

He's started filling up da gest room now and mom sez it's time to draw da line. We'z gonna go get her markers so she can do dat line drawing thing. I like reading all about where other cats live, too. You have a pretty house, and a fabulous yard. It looks like you have some really nice mature trees, too. I do not blame you for not wanting to ever move!

Lovely house for The Crew to live in, or share with your beans.

But with all those levels means you have stairs to run up and down.

What a wonderful house! We have several levels too and love to race up and down the stairs. Do you? We don't have nearly as many things to look at outside. We pretty much only get birdies.

Dat is a really great house! I lives in a 'partment, which is good for me and the mombean. She says that she's glad that she doesn't have a whole house to clean. It might be good to have some stairs to run up and down, maybe it would help with my pooch!

Max asked about mine boa. Tell your mombean that you can get tehm at fabric stores in the notions section. She says it might be a good idea to call around first, coz not all stores have them. Oh, she sez it wasn't any more expensive than a toy from the petshop, it just looks like it.

You have a very nice house.I don't blame you for never wanting to move. When we lived in Connecticut we had half of an old Victorian house. It had an upstairs and a downstairs. I used to love to run up and down those stairs. here in Florida we live in an aprtment. It's all on one floor. I miss the stairs. There are still nice places to hide here, though, and I like being close to my people.

Your house looks like you've got everything just perfect. Me, I don't mind moving, except the moving part. So long as my OTW is there it's all good. Besides, it seems like almost every time we move we go somewhere bigger!

Wow, this is awkward.

I didn't read anything about a throne or pedestal for me. I've thought about visiting, but if your digs are not grand enough to accomodate me...well, what should I do?

We think your house looks wonderful and cozy like a home should. We moved 3 times in the first year that Ariel & me came to live with Mom, and she says she's not moving again for a looooooonnnnnnng time. Tocchet has lived with Mom in 5 houses. Our house is just big enough for Mom & Dad & we 3 kitties and we all love it. Mom says she knows just what you mean about fixing things the way you want them, she's been working on that since we got here.

Sounds like you've got the purrfect house!!

We also wanted to let you know that we gotted our Secret Paws package, but we can't open it yet 'cause Mom and Dad are away and Grandma's stayin' with us! Mom wants to be here when we open it so she can take pictures. We can't wait, but Mom says it won't be that long.

You've got a dungeon and your own throw-up couch! I'm impressed. We like our apartment but says she would like a big beautiful house like yours except that would require a lot more time cleaning and running the noisy sucking machine that freaks Tommy out.

It sure must be fun to chase each other around there.

We totally love Beezer's red boa. It looks like a ton of fun.

I don't think we're getting a stroller. EG might get a harness, though, because he always wants to go outside and Momma says he can't go out without a harness.

Thanks for stopping by our bloggie.

Very lucky kitties indeed! I just hope Mommy and Daddy get us a nice house when we move. I don't want to move, but I didn't get a vote!
