Mancat Monday and Other News

GEORGE

I'm going to post this as my Mancat Monday entry but as you can plainly see it's not my best picture. Friends, I've been stressed out this weekend because B's dogs, Daisy & Shasta are here and I haven't been able to relax or get a decent nap for 4 DAYS!!

I'm doing my best to stay away from them but I do need to come upstairs once in a while to eat, look out the window and visit with Dad. I've been practicing my meditation and doing what Mom said...just chant "It's only for a few days, it's only for a few days..." but just as I start to drift off, it starts...the running, the barking, the jumping, the nails clicking on the floor...oh, it's just endless. You cats that live with dogs all the time, how do you stand it?

In other news, Coats of Many Colors members, we have two new members. Please go over and say hello to them.

The Crew and our Mom are very disturbed over the recent media coverage of the pet food crisis. We eat only dry Iam's Indoor cat food with a rare occassional pouch of moist food (old ones that have been in the cabinet a while so there's no danger of contaminated batch numbers here). But we're worried about our friends that eat pouch food or canned food. Is everyone doing OK?!

Poor George! You do look a little out of sorts today. It is very manly of you to put up with having those dogs in your house.

I am glad to see Boy and Felissa joined Coats of Many Colors. They are nice.

Next time, when they say "short stay," get the specific amount of time in writing. That's just ridiculous!

As for the food contamination? I've been accused!

Hang in there George. Get your mum or dad to take the woofies for a long walk. Then you can have the house to yourself.

No worries here on the food. I eat mainly dry food too. Get wet food but only Friskies or Fancy Feast.

Hi George,
It's awful that a mature fellow like you has to put up with woofies. Those slobbering, drooling creatures should go home as soon as possible.
As for the food, I eat Publix, fancy Feast of the Meow Mix pouches. So far, they are safe. My Mommy keeps checking the website to make sure.

I terribly sorry you've had to go through this George. Remember you are always welcome to join us here, though sometimes it's not much better.

Oh, doggies! None of us Ballicai know quite what to make of doggies either except that they aren't picky about what they eat, they're sloppy, and they smell funny. Sometimes family members bring doggies to visit, and we just kinda sit and stare at 'em, trying to figure out why they aren't more like kitties. Hang in there!

Sending purrs and kittyhugs!

You do look pretty cross, George. I don't blame you. I don't even like sharing my house with my sisters sometimes, so I can't imagine having an alien species in the place!

You don't look very happy George, and I don't blame you. Hang it there, it will get better, they will eventually leave.

The pet food thing is very scary. I do hope everyone will be OK.

Tara

Woofies can get on your nerves. My mom once had a friend's Black Lab Woofie for a week because of a death in the friend's family. You have to show 'em who's the boss then they treat you with respect. I just sat up high and batted the black woofie on the nose (I was careful not to really hurt her...just to show her I was the boss)and she was very nice the rest of the time.

We only eat dry food and fancy feast so we're ok.

Man George, you look so annoyed. I can't stand to even smell a dog down wind. Glad the poochies are gone now for your sake.
