Mind Over Reality
GEORGE
You know, I've always thought of myself as a pretty big, manly guy and at 16.5 lb., I feel like I could handle myself if the occasion ever arose.
But when I see a picture like this one, I realize how small domestic felines really are. I don't like this picture since it conflicts with my mental self image.
Mom, you could have taken one of me stretching up to my full length! At least that way, I'd look a little bigger. I can reach the drawer handles, you know!!
I think I'll keep my manly mental image of myself since I like it better.

I'm only 6 pounds, so you look mighty big to me!
Guess that's why we should always be on eye level with our humans then we might not think we are small in comparison to cabinets and looking up at our humans. Guess that's why I like laying on Mom's bed and she is at the computer cause when she turns around and looks at me we are on level terms. Don't despair because George you are still a Man Cat so keep up that self image that you are.

I still think you look very manly.
Yup yoo still look manly to us. 16.5lbs is a good mancat size.BTW if I stand up straight, I can just get my nose and chin on the kitchen work tops to see what's up theer.

Beans wouldn't look so big if they were down on all fours or sitting like you.

They use smoke and mirrors to look so big. Kinda like when we get all puffed up.
It's a camera trick. The other day my OTW took a picture of Persephone actually sitting near Grumpybutt (and not getting paw-bopped either!) and in the picture she looks BIGGER than Grumpybutt!!! She's only half as big as me and Grumpybutt is bigger than me (just a really tiny bit thought!)
At 16.5 lbs you are definitely a big man cat, so you can keep your mental image of yourself!
George, you have nothing to worry about! You are clearly a big man cat - we are what we believe ourselves to be! (I don't know who said that, but it sounded good!)
George, I still think you look quite big and manly. I don't even take up that much space next to my human...
Manly. Yum! You are a stud, George!
