Ear Cleaning
TIPPER
(sigh) How come no one cleans my ears for me? I ALWAYS clean George's ears for him, and have for years. Sometimes I clean Misty's too, if she'll hold still long enough. Max takes care of his own I guess, but NO ONE cleans mine except ME!
It's only fair, I think, that if I take the time to help someone with their daily bath, there should be some payback!
Dad calls me a "mother hen" 'cause I'm the one who takes care of everyone...cleaning ears, licking head tops & faces...that sort of thing. If someone cries out, I always run to see what the problem is. OK fine, I guess I AM a mother hen, but maybe that's 'cause I never had kittens of my very own.
And listen Mom, just because I was talking about ear cleanings doesn't mean I want you coming near me with those cotton stick things!

I clean my woofie's ears all the time. He never returns the favor either. What's up with that?
Riley
Yeah, that's not fair! If you see those cotton stick things, run and hide :-0
It does seem unfair. I am not much of an ear cleaner and neither is Gemini so we suit each other.
Ahh..Tipper, you are such a nice cat to help everyone with their baths. Maybe you could push your ears in their mouths until they get the hint that you would like to have some help bathing too! Just a thought.
Flynn's the ear cleaner here. He washes and washes my ears, and if I try to get away, he puts his paw across my neck and holds me down.It yooshully ends wiv a rassle.
I'm sure you do a good job on your ears...you don't need any help from cottony stick thingies!
Your motherly instincts are coming out.

Ohh Tipper, you are just like our Bubbles, he always cleans everyone else from top to bottom too. Only he is a mancat, so mother hen is not a right name for him. :)
If I want someone to wash my ears, I just put them, my ears I mean, into their nose. And that works. Maybe you can try that too.
Oh Tipper, we bet yoo would have been the best momma cat! Sadie and I was Speedy's ears and the back of his head for him but he never returns the favor...mancats!~Zippy
Tipper, you are a very sweet little mother hen. I would much rather have my ears washed by you than with those cotton sticks. I hate those!
You can come over and clean my ears.Mommy usually does it with a cotton swab- yuck!!
I understand your frustration. I clean everyone else's ears. I even clean Buddy's and Samaritan's while they're playing tug. But does anyone clean my ears? No! Or I wouldn't be writing this.
So all of you other cats, pitch in and do your share.
Merci,
Jan's Funny Farm
I wish I hads someone to cleans my ears but I onlys gots myself. If I clean your ears woulds you do mines?
I know how that goes!!! Cobalt licks my ears all the time, but I never lick back. He does all that work for nothing. Well, it benefits me but thats about it.

Oh my sweet Tipper. I'm so sorry you aren't feeling appreciated. Harlie and I take turns cleaning ears. As you know, you are welcome here any time, and I would be very happy to clean your ears. So would Harlie even! And Mom nearly spit out her water when she saw that you were called Mother Hen. For different, very strange reasons that we won't go into, Mom and Dad call Harlie and I "hens" all the time! Anyway, I hope you'll come over soon for a massage and an ear cleaning!

Mattingly
I know whatcha mean Tipper! I groom LC's head an ears nicely, but when she starts ta do mine, she allus ends up bitin my ears... Its NOT fair!
Silky bites my ears, too! I'd prefer it if she licked!
