Did You Hear Something?

MAX

Did you hear anything?! I thought I heard something. What's that noise...do you see anything out there, Mom?

MOM

Max, it’s too dark to see anything.

MAX

Well, turn on the porch light. There's something out there!

MOM

Go back to sleep. It's probably raccoons raiding the bird feeders.

MAX

I need to be vigilant and stay alert, so there'll be no sleep for me. A Mancat's work is never done!

Great job Max on keeping an eye out. I know it is tough being such a good Mancat and the pay sucks!

great job Max! mommies don't make it easy when they don't turn the lights on. i don't like when the racoons raid our bird feeders. sometimes they come up on the deck and hiss at me thru the glass door. i do NOT like that at all.
it is important to stay vigilant Max. they could come after your food next (you know they'd open doors if they could...)

I think she should have at least turned on the light for you. Despite what she says, you had an important job to do!

Ooh, shine flashlights on the raccoons! They hate that. An put oil or tanglefoot on the birdfeeder poles.

MOL! It is so fun to watch!
