Fresh Expressions Review
TIPPER
A while back we were contacted by the makers of Fresh Step litter, asking if we'd like to do a review of their new litter, Fresh Expressions.
"Nothing says springtime like lavender. But you wouldn't typically associate lavender with cat litter. That is changing this spring with the introduction of Fresh Expressions cat litter from Fresh Step. Fresh Expressions comes in a lavender scent that uses real lavender essential oils. And it has the power of carbon to help eliminate odor. Fresh Expressions will be available nationwide on April 1 in Wal-mart, Target and Pet Specialty stores.
As part of our introduction, I'd love to send a box of Fresh Step Fresh Expressions litter to you, or another contributor/expert on your site, in exchange for your objective review/blog of the product on your site.
Please let me know by April 15, 2008 if you are interested in receiving the product sample to test, along with sending your address and how many cats you have. We will send you a sample for your review on your website. We look forward to hearing back from you.
Thanks!"
Some cats only like certain brands or types of litter, but normally The Crew isn't fussy about the litter that Mom uses. As long as our litterboxes are reasonably clean, we're OK with whatever she puts in them! Recently, she's been busy every weekend and hasn't had time to do a fair review since it would involve completely scrubbing the litterboxes and vacuuming the surrounding areas, then observing us and our reactions. But in all fairness, since we agreed to do the review, we thought it was time to get on with it. We have our main litterbox in the closet in the utility room and 2 more boxes in the basement, and I must say it's nice to have our areas completely clean and odor free, especially in the basement.
So, since Max was the first to try it, let's get a few words from him.
Max, how does this Fresh Expessions stuff smell?
MAX
Uh...just hold on a second, OK.
(sniff, sniff) Hmmm... flowery, like the smells that come in our windows in the spring. I think it makes the closet smell better, too.

And how did it feel under your toes?
MAX
It was good. I didn't feel like I was sinking in quicksand.
TIPPER
Mom, would you like to say something about Fresh Expressions?
MOM
Yes, thanks Tipp. First of all, Max you need to do a better job of covering!! Please scratch IN THE BOX, not out in the hallway.
I've used scoopable litter exclusively for years and find that with 4 cats, without immediate cleanup (which is impossible), most litter does only a fair job of odor control. I found this litter to have a very nice scent with few dust clouds puffing up when the box is filled. Odor control is good and the texture makes nice solid clumps that don't break apart when scooped.
Plus I like the fact that the Paw Points can be donated to CFHF!! All in all, we give Fresh Expressions 4 paws up!

That is a good review. It sounds very nice. I don't think we would be able to get it in the UK, but I wish we could cuz Flynn stinks when he's been in the litterbox.

If I used clumping litter I would definitely give it a try. But we use those crystal things.
We think mom is gonna hafta try dis stuff. We always complain about Speedy's skwishy, stinky poop but really, Sadie is da smelliest of all of us. We think it's cuz she will eat just about anything! We don't like purrfumy stuff but if it smells like flowers dat just might be okay. Speedy wants to know if Misty had fun at da wedding...he sez he just amembers a lot of niptini's and dancing and eating...sheesh, men.
We are crystal kitties. We think that it controls the odor best with 4 of us!
Interesting review - we like to hear what other kitties like!
I am glad you think highly of it!
Sounds Great :)
When we were testing it, Jan was sneezing! She misses the convenience. It is hard to go back to changing litter every few days.
We like the good review. But isn't a bit after April 15th now?
Wonderful review - we're going to have to make sure Mommy gets us some too!
