Getting Mom's Attention

Last night when Mom went to bed I was resting on my top shelf but I thought I should remind her that I might want to come in the bedroom later. So I walked down the hallway but the bedroom door was already closed!!! I called out just to let her know that she should open the door.meow
Hmmm, I don't think she heard me. Maybe I should try a little louder.
MEOWMEOWMEOW
Mom, open the door. Mom? (scratchscratchscratchs on floor)
MEOWMEOWMEOW
Mom!! Can you hear me!! Maybe I should knock lightly.
MmmmROW, MMMROWR (beats on door with paws)
M-O-O-O-O-OM!!!! I know you're in there!
MMMMM ROWROWROWOROWR (slides body along door & head butts door repeatedly)
George, Mom's in there and she won't open the door! What should I do?!
GEORGE
Have you called her? Did you knock? Try the handle.

(stretchs up & wiggles doorknob)
Mom? MOMMOMOM!!!
MMROWROWROWOWOWORORRR!!
MOMMMM!!! (thudthudTHUDDDD) (door rattles on hinges as Max gets a running start and frantically throws himself against the door)
RAWRRRRMMMMRRRRAWWRRFF!! RARRMMMFFMMMMRARRR!!
MOM!!! Are you OK!! MO-O-MMMMMM!!! OPEN THE DOOR!!!
MOM
(opens door) For heaven's sake Max, what is it?! Do you want to come in? Well, don't just sit there...come on!!
MAX
I don't want to come in right now. I just want to tell you to leave the door open in case I might want to come in later.
MOM
(sigh)

Oh yeah... closed doors are a no-no. Pumpy and I DO NOT tolerate that. Us cats have to patrol our territory.
Hahaha! Sunny does all that too, except when he bumps on the door if he hits a certain spot it'll open for him. He always comes in.

Really, why do dey close doors anyway? It's not like dey gots something to hide from us! Oh sure, dad whines about getting his head (and sensitive parts) stepped on, but really, if he would just leave space fur us on da bed we wouldn't need to keep making him move over.

Your mom should know better. My brother and I have learned to start reaching for the door handle. We can't turn it, but we love that it freaks out mommy when she hears it jiggle.

Hahaha that made us laugh. Our Beans always leave the bedroom door open, but then they complain when we climb over them in the middle of the night. We are only checking to make sure they are all right.
Um Max maybe your beans were doing the human mating thingy and wanted to be alone....
A guy's just gotta be a guy an' get his point across! The banging on the closet door thing is what our youngest does to wake me up to feed him breakfast. So SUBTLE!

Deep sigh*! that would be my destiny every night and therefore I leave my door open, lol ! Lisa scratches at the door like hell, it would be ruined since a long time. She hates closed doors !
