Goodbye

MISTY

Friends, (sigh) I have some sad news to report. No, no...none of us have gone to The Bridge...it's not that kind of sad!!

I just found out that Mom threw away our PINK CUBES!!! Yes (sniffle)... the Barbie house where I spent many hours playing...the cubes I grew up in are gone forever (sob)!! Here is my last picture in them, taken right before she took them to the garage.

MOM

Misty, I'm sorry, but they couldn't be saved. They smelled and I couldn't wash them good enough, plus you four had chewed holes in both of them. They just looked ratty from being thrown up on and it was time for them to go.

MISTY

But Mom...you don't understand! (sniff) I grew up in those cubes and they were special to me. My very first kitten memories are of playing in them with my feathers and mousies. I don't care if they smelled or had holes! I LOVED THEM!!! (sob)

MOM

(sigh) Yes, I know. Next time I go shopping, I'll look for two new cubes, OK? And you'll learn to love them, too.

MISTY

But, will they be PINK?! Will they have ribbons that hang down?! (sniffle)

MOM

I don't know. It depends on what the store has.

MISTY

(sigh) Oh (sniff)... I just can't believe they're really gone!

Friends, this is the very first picture of me with our cubes when I was a baby. I'll remember them always.

Misty,

We're sorry 'bout the cubes. We have some red and blue cubes, with dangly ribbons too, but somecat kept peeing in them, so Teri tossed them in the garbage!

The same thing happened with 2 cute little tents she got at IKEA. We are bad kitties sometimes.

The skritchy sound your paws make does sound a bit like the sound paws make in a litterbox, but that did not go over very well with Teri.

So far, the cat tunnel she got at IKEA is still around for us to play in, but it's kinda a tight fit for some of us bigger cats, but so far, no one's peed in it I think cuz you have to crouch down slinky like to get through it, not a good potty position...

Cubes? What a great idea. We can always use new play things.

By the way, thanks for visiting our blog. We're still nibbling every so often on the cat grass.

I wonder if pink cubes go to the rainbow bridge and are made all clean and fixed again with no throw-up or holes chewed in them? If so maybe one of our friends that had to go there is borrowing them for now. Just a thought.

Things with cat stink are great.

OH NO!!! We have never seen pink Barbie ones before! Doesn't your Mom know duct tape can fix the holes? And Febrese would work great on the smells. We hopes she replaces them real soon. Our Mom says our Target store has lime green/pink ones now. You can come and play in our leopard ones until then.

Oh Misty!!! You iz justee a darlin' itty bitty kitty whenz you gots doze cubez. So, if your momee sez dey has to go, mebbbe she iz right. Personally, I wouldz pee on a cube if I hadz one, which iz probabully why I don't get one.
But you iz such a good gurl cat dat I bets your momee WILL gets you a new one... & if dey do nots haz pink, mebbe you will learn to love da new color, justee like you learned to love your Uncle George.

We have that exact same pink cube. We will keep our eyes out for a pink one. Our other one is blue and red. It doesn't really match well and it drives mom nuts
