You were very polite. The other cats had lots of great suggestions. The only other thing I can think of is climb up there and sit on top of Max.
That's a very good stretch, George! Personally, I'd just wait until he left and then take his spot. Finders keepers and all that, you know.

Yeah, sisfurs won't let yoo on da top either. Mom found out dis weekend dat Speedy really is da boss of us and dat is why he always tries to keep da peace...He's our benifisent leader or something like dat.

Wowie, that's a great tree! I bet in this house, Dorydoo would be the one to klaim the furry top spot, efun though Brainball is the Alpha Cat, he's a big boy so he's more of a ground dwellur.
