A Gino Monday

GINO

Hi everyone...it's me, Gino! Gramma says today is something called Mancat Monday and I'm a Mancat, so I think I should talk today.

Lots of our new friends asked how long my sisters Tiger, Cricket and I will be staying here.

Gosh...nobody tells me anything around here, so I don't know about that. I guess it depends on my Dad and this thing Gramma calls finding "a job". I'm not sure what "a job" is so I don't know if I ever had one before or if I have one now.

Gramma, do I have "a job"?

MOM

No, dear.

GINO

Maybe I lost it like I do the toys you give me. I should look for it under the bed when I go back upstairs. That's where Cricket rests and she'll know if "a job" is under there with her.

Anyway, Gramma has "a job" and so does Grampa. They go visit it almost every day and Gramma says one day she'll let me be out when she goes to "a job", but not yet. She doesn't trust us to be out of our room for a long time if she isn't home.

Well, that's all for today. I have to finish my bath and go exploring before Gramma puts me back in our room.

Hey Buddy...you are a cat..you have lots of jobs. What? Name one? Well, I can name several: 1) you have the job of sleeping the most in the house; 2) you have the job of keeping your peeps on their toes and feeding you on time; 3) you have the job of rounding up lost string and rolling things; 4; you have the job of running the happy motor as much as possible; and 5) you have the job of giving love to everyone that looks like they need some good kitty lovin'. You see, you have lots of important jobs and the best thing is that you never have to leave home to do them!! purrs, Lautrec

Hi Gino! We're crossing our paws for your dad; finding a good job these days can be tough. We're really glad you have such awesome grandparents, though, who can look after you in the meantime. We don't want to think about all the poor kitties and woofies who are abandoned or taken to kill shelters when their humans are in the same situation. So we think you and your sisters are lucky!

Happy Monday!

We're glad you can hang out with your grandparents while this whole job thing gets straightened out. Maybe soon she will let you ramble around the house while she's at work.

Hi Gino! We agree that being a mancat is your job - and we think you are good at it! And we think it is good that you still get to be separate when your gramma is at her job - our mom did that for a long time with all of us when we first moved in. It is nice to be able to relax with no other crazy cats to bug you! Well, your sisters, but well, we mean the others - well, we hope you get what we mean!

Don't you rush to get a job, let your Dad do it. Since you probably don't have your own car so you'd have to take the bus, and there are some real weirdos on the bus!

Hi Gino! We are so glad you are living where you are safe and loved while your Dad looks for his job. They are pretty hard to find right now...We have our paws crossed for him.

Right now, your main job is to enjoy life and help your Dad stay happy.

Wow, everyone had great ideas about all the 'jobs' a cat does every day! No wonder we have to nap so much!
