Petitioning for Litterboxes

GEORGE

When we lived in Whisk-onsin, we had 3 litterboxes in our house. The main one was in the utility room closet on the first floor and there was one in the upstairs bathroom closet and one in the basement. You Shall Not Pass... Now, our house has no basement and no upstairs.

So, what does that have to do with litterboxes, you may ask. Well, there isn't a lot of places to put a litterbox in this house, so Mom put ours in the walk-in closet in their bathroom. There was no where else to put it 'cause this house is a lot smaller than our old house.

Friends I don't want to resort to extreme measures like this guy, but having one box is a problem for 4 cats, wouldn't you agree?
Oh, I know either Mom or Dad clean the box every morning, but what about other times during the day?  Just between you an me, no one wants to go in there after Max has used it.

MAX

Hey!!

GEORGE

Sorry, but it's true.

So anyway, I'm thinking of starting a petition to get us another litterbox.  There must be SOMEWHERE to put it.  If Mom would finish unpacking and get all the junk out of the closets, we could have a box in every closet!

Who's with me on signing our petition to help The  Crew get another litterbox?

Well, the only time we ever had more than one box was when Pee Queen first came to live with us. Not only did the second box NOT cure her fear of peeing in a box, Russell and I would cram ourselves into it to use it (and it was way smaller than the other). We went back to one box.

My mom eventually made one giant box out of two Rubbermaid storage boxes, one inverted over the other for a top. So, even when there were 5 of us, we only had the one box and it all worked out fine (Mom cleaned it out twice a day). Our box lives in the tub of our main bath, out of sight and private, too!

We have two litter boxes here for three kitties, both on one level of our two-level main living area (there is a third level we kitties don't use) - and I still say we could use more! Maybe the human can invest in a litter box cabinet so it can still look decorative, or figure out another way to hide it so people don't see it. With four kitties, I do think there should be more.

You definitely need more boxes...we will sign the petition.
We are lucky, one upstairs, 3 in the basememt.
Our neighbors have one in their basement and one hidden in plain view upstairs, it's a covered litter box and it fits under a side table. The table is covered with a table cloth and it drapes around the entry, so the box is concealed and the entry is discreet. Maybe your mom could do something like that.
