An Uneven Sweetie Pie
TIPPER
I usually visit with Dad for a few minutes every evening. I sit on the arm of the sofa and purr and put my scent on him so everyone knows he's my Dad. Then he calls me his Sweetie Pie, which of course I am.
Well, last night while we were visiting, Dad looked at me and said (sniff)... he said (sniffle)...oh, this is so difficult to talk about...
MISTY
Don't get upset, Tipp. I'll hold your paw while you finish your story. Everything will be OK. (pats Tipper gently)
TIPPER
I know. (sighs & wipes away a tear) Anyway, Dad looked me right in the eye and told me I'm UNEVEN!!! He said I have more whiskers on one side of my face than on the other. He even told Mom to look at me and she told him he's crazy and that I look fine to her!
I just can't believe our Dad would say something like that to me! Do you think I should stop being his Sweetie Pie?
MISTYNo, you shouldn't stop being his Sweetie Pie 'cause yesterday I found 3 whiskers in the family room. I'm sure they're yours and they probably all came from the same cheek. Remember when I thought I was going bald and you told me all about whiskers falling out and growing back? I'm sure that's what's happening to you and you'll be even again in a few days.

Thank you for defending me, Mist. (sniffle) At least I have you and Mom on my side.

Oh, you poor thing, Tipper! We never heard of anybody counting kitty whiskers. Gosh, now our Mom will probably start counting ours everyday too. EEK!
Tipper, we're on your side too and think you should not take it personally. Even if they are uneven, it means you have great character and are even more beautiful!!

Oh don't cry!! I'm sure Misty is right and they will grow back soon! I personally have some eyebrow whiskers that are nubby because of how I sleep at night.

Oh Tipper, do not worry, you still look very, very beautiful! My whiskers are really brittle and break off all the time. But the whiskers on my right side always break off more than the other side.
Oh you two are furry good frendz!! Da Delilah tinks dis iz right, 'cuz you are both grey & white cats, & she sez dat grey & white cats should alwayz watchez out fur each otherz whiskerz.

Tipper! Even if you were to lose all your whiskers, you would still be the most beautiful ladycat I know. Sometimes Moms and Dads say things that hurt us but they don't mean to. Your Dad still loves you very much I'm sure and wants you to keep being his Sweetie Pie. I'm sure you're whiskers will be back in place in no time. But like I said, even if they never grow back, you will still be beautiful!

Aww, Tipper, we're sending you a big cyber hug. He's probably just being concerned about you and didn't mean any harm by it. Mama actually looks to see how even-looking our whiskurrs and eyemeows are all the time (she's weird like that 9_9).

Oh, Tipper, don't worry about some whiskers coming out as you will grow new ones. My Food Lady finds ours on the rug a lot of times and we just grow some more.

Tipper, I'm sorry he said that, but I don't think you should stop being Daddy's sweetie pie. I think instead, you could whap him unexpectedly when he walks by. Or maybe you could jump hard on his belly while he's sleeping. Put the hurty on him a little bit ;-)

Oh, poor Tipper! I'm sorry your daddy hurt your feelings like that. You are a beautiful kitty! Sometimes you just have to forgive daddies, I think, because they aren't as bright as mommies.
Don't worry, you're fine! You two look so cute together in those photos - makes me want a sibling too.
To be honest with you, the only place I ever go to in real life is the vet's as well, hence I hate going into the PTU or the car.
I'm sure your Dad didn't realize that he was making you feel bad and I'm sure that you are still and will always be his sweetie pie!
Leave a poopie present on his pillow and he will rethink that uneven business, we are sure about that!

whiskers grow back? thats good because i seem to be missing one on my right cheek... how embarrassing! i cant take visitors!
Tipper, you're not to worry-those whiskers will grow back-your Dad was a wee bit insensitive, there. You need to get your mom to "educate" him a little!

Male Beans are likes that, say things they shouldnts to us kittys. Misty is right, you'lls be fine and your whiskers will grow backs.
