The Showering Ladies

Do you remember when I was a baby and my human Sister B came to my house to have a shower and Tipper explained to me that it was all about getting presents?
Well girls, Tipper and I are very excited 'cause I just heard that there's going to be a lot of ladies here having a shower together and they're bringing presents for a Blurpy Thing that we're getting!!
But do you know why I'm most excited? It's 'cause our Blurpy Thing will wear PINK, like ME!!!! Maybe I should ask her if she wants to join The Pink Ladies.
Here I am helping Mom check out the decorations before the showering ladies come over.
This is the diaper cake. But see, it's not a real cake so you can't eat it. Mom says it's made out of diapers. I'm not exactly sure what a diaper is but I think it might be....hmmm...there sure are a lot of interesting things here. Oh look, a ribbon!!

Misty!!! Stop biting that!!!
Now listen... this is important. You can't play with any of this 'cause it's for the shower. Oh...and a diaper is for babies to wear because they don't know how to use the toilet.
MISTY
(looks confused) Really?
(tsk) Even kittens know how to use their litterbox! George must be right about these Blurpy Things not knowing anything!
Well anyway...girls, this is where the Blurpy Thing is living right now...inside my human Sister B's belly.
Then when she comes out, she'll sleep in this small bed. This is a special bed 'cause when my Dad was a baby, he was in it and when his Mom was a baby, she was in it. Mom says this bed is a an...uh...it's a ant...um, what is it again, Mom?
MOM
It's an antique. That means it really, really old...and you have to be careful. Don't jump on it!
MISTY
OK, I won't. But is it alright if l just walk on it?
Now girls, this is what else I want to show you. This is a special small bathtub for our Blurpy Girl 'cause she won't be able to be in the big bathtub where Mom & Dad go.

We told ya, dem babies is really kinda useless at first...except dey smell really good. Looks like she is gonna be all set up to come home after she gets borned. Hope da beans toss some ribbons fur yoo to play wif or if yoo prefer yoo can all come over here until da extra beans leave. Da last shower mom had here der were waaaaaay to many peepul...dey even hadded manbeans here.

Oh congrats! We are excited that you're getting a girl blurpy. They are pretty fun, actually. We like licking ours and she comes with cool toys. We're very happy for you and hope your sister's shower is a big success.

OH. MY. GOODNESS!!! CONCATULATIONS CREW!!! You're going to be aunts and uncles. And Harlie and I are going to be a big brother and sister and we're having one of these parties tomorrow!!! It seems like you all already know so much more about this stuff than we do, so maybe you can come over tomorrow and help teach Harlie and I! How odd that we haven't even looked at other blogs in weeks and we post the same sort of news one day apart, and our blurpy things are going to arrive at about the same time!

Oh, wow ... Mom's goin' to a showering thing tomorrow for her former student. Kimmy's gettin' a blue Blurpy Thing in September an' Mom's takin' lots of presents even though he won't be there in person.

I think it's exciting to have a girl shower. I've never seen a blurpy thing up close, and I'm not sure I don't want to, but congratulations on your blurpy thing and her shower.
