Shasta is Coming
GEORGE
I don't know what to think about the news I heard today.
You all know I'm not a big fan of dogs. Nothing personal, all you dogs out there. It's just that I get very tense and I don't like all the barking, jumping and intrusion into my personal space. Maybe if I'd had a chance to grow up with a dog I'd feel differently about them. I don't know.
Anyway, today I heard that our human sister B's dog, Shasta, shown here, is coming to live with us for a while. Shasta is a 4 1/2 year old Bichon Frise. Her adopted dog sister Reyna, a 2 year old Labra-Doodle, has been trying to eat her and...
MOM
Not eat her, George. Reyna just wants to play and won't leave Shasta alone for a minute! She's young and big and her parents want to give Shasta a break for a while. She won't be here forever.
GEORGE
She'd better not be!!
All I know is, for some weird reason, Tipper and Misty like her and Misty will even share lap space with her. As for Max and me, we intend to ignore her.
And, while she's here, I expect her to follow my rules. I'll be putting together a list and will dictate it before she gets here!

Uh oh. We had our cousin woofy Max with us for a few months.. did not go well!! Good luck.
Yikes! Good luck with your rules. You must show her that you are the packleader... I hope the woofie comes with a crate!

We think a list of rules is a good idea, however doggies aren't good at following da rools!
George, you got the right idea...give her the rules and make her live by them!! We hope all goes well!!
You MUST get the rule handbook out and be sure to have you mom read them REPEATEDLY to Shasta!
the list is a good idea - you need to really enforse it too!
Poor kitties--hope the woofie is calm enough for you guys! Mama looks forward to seeing what chaos ensues, though. She's weird!
Oh, we bet you guys are gonna have lots of fun with Shasta!
Ew, a dog? We know how you feel. Try not to get any doggie drool on you.
I love to chase small dogs. Let me at her! She won't WANT to stay!!!
She can't possibly be as jumpy and yappy as da one dat mom brawt home! Sheesh, he even barked (and by bark we mean a skweely yap) at da table legs. We think if yoo both compromise a little (and by dat we mean Shasta does as yoo tell her to) things will go smoothly.
Hi Misty, when da little woofie gets der I would like to teleport over and meet her. I like woofies too!~Speedy
Yikes! Rules are very important. You need to make sure Shasta knows who's the boss right from the beginning.
Surely it won't be too bad. We know lots of Kitties that live with doggies.
Hmm, yes, we have mixed feelings about dogs too. But it sounds like the poor little thing needs a break. And since Tipper and Misty get along with her. Maybe she won't bother you to much.
We totally sympathize with you on the dog thing. We don't have any that would ever live with us but we know that it can be tough on the kitties to have them there. We are wishing you lots of luck!
Ah, man...you have my sympathies. I hope it's not horrible...
Come up with a firm list!!
Well, that woofie is ALMOST a cat. Maybe it won't be too bad.
George, you should put your list on the interwebs, because then it's official and she HAS to follow the rules.
You keep that puppy in line! We have to do the same thing with the one that lives here!
Stay tough,
Austin, Nico & JayJay :)
A DOG? Ew! I mean, they're fine and all, but living with you? Best have that list of rules ready. Sorry to hear about this. At least it'snot the young eat-y dog coming!
We added you're suggestion and a few others to our cold weather survival guide! We'd forgotten under-quilt napping. We don't have many pictures of us there!
~Jack
A dog in your space!!!
We agree. There should be very stringent rules and they should be followed to the letter!
Sorry to hear that Shasta is moving in for a while. Make sure she knows the rules.
