The Perfect Garfield

GEORGE

I sit by Mom in the evening and read the paper with her while she does her crossword and the minute I read Garfield, I knew I had to post about it. It's just perfect, isn't it?!

Put a frizzy, blonde wig and glasses on John and you'd have my Mom. (sorry about the hair thing Mom, but it's true).

Of course, she wouldn't just skreech "EEEEEEEK", she'd shout some of the words from the Bad Word List. Then she'd rant for 5 minutes about why Dad can't seem to solve the ongoing mouse problem in this house.

Then, and only then, would she tell us to get it and, of course, we would. It may take longer than she'd like and the infamous yellow broom may make an appearance, but eventually the mouse would be gone.

How funny! Mom is not sure what we would do with a mouse. We do like to hunt bugs!

heehee! That's funny. We don't really see live mousies in our house...unless we bring them in ourselves... MOL

Purrs and hugs,

My human is not so afraid of mice--but she would be with rats and well you wouldn't see her if it were a spider...

Once, just once, we'd like to see a real live mouse in our house...but mom sez no...no way!

Mum and I laughed when we read that too. But mum doesn't eek when she sees a mousie but she does say words off of the bad word lists. But we haven't had many mousies inside this summer. Mum has those green cubes outside, so she hopes they nibble that and stay outside.

That's how my mom acts when there is a bug in the house!

I hope you feel really good about being a mouser!

Check out my blog about a colony of abandoned/feral cats near my home. There will be stories there as time goes on that could inspire and inform anyone you know who wants to help homeless cats.

Would you add me to your blog list?

Thank you,

Thanks for letting me know about the header. On my screen the letters were at the bottom. But I changed the photo since you and maybe others are getting a distorted view for some reason. Let me know if the way I changed it comes through OK
