Disturbing News
GEORGE
I just heard some very disturbing news. Well, it's disturbing to me anyway, and I'm sure it will be to the rest of The Crew, too. The 3 upstairs cats don't know about it yet, but they may want to just stay up there permanently once they hear what I'm about to say.
You all know our human sister's dogs, Shasta & Reyna, who visit from time to time. Shasta is a Bichon Frieze and is about 5 years old. Max and I tolerate her but Tipper and Misty, for some odd reason, actually like her. I guess you could say we're all pretty much OK when she visits as long as she stays out of our way. But...if she puts her nose in my business, where it doesn't belong, she gets a claw on the nose or ear for her trouble.
Reyna, on the other paw, is a menace to civilized cat society. She's a 3 year old, 3/4 standard Poodle and 1/4 black Labrador and is big, noisy and ill-mannered. Apparently going to puppy training classes wasn't enough for her and she needs to learn obedience, which brings me right to the point of my story. Reyna's family (my human sister B, her husband T and our Girl) live about 2 1/2 hours north of here in central Whisk-onsin and, due to a situation which I will discuss later, can't take Reyna to dog training classes right now.
Yes friends, you guessed it. Reyna is coming here for dog training!! Needless to say, no one asked ME about this and I think, as Senior Cat here, I should have been consulted.
MOM
I'm sorry George. I know you don't like her and you're upset about this, but it's only while I take her to classes. And hopefully, after that, she'll be well behaved.
GEORGE
(sigh) Fine. But, you know I'll expect you to put up my list of Dog Rules again so she understands who's boss around here! If she obeys my rules, I guess I can put up with her for a week or two.
MOM
Um...well actually, she'll be here for (cough) 12 weeks.
GEORGE
What's that? I didn't quite hear you.
MOM
(ahem) I said the dog training classes last 12 weeks.
GEORGE
WHAT?!! Did you say 12? (thud)
MOM
Quick...someone bring some water or 'nip. Georgie just fainted!

Holy cat, George! You are going to have to rule with an iron paw now!
YIKES~!!! You poor dears...come to our house...there's no woofies here! Oh My...what are you gonna do?!?
12 weeks! Poor George. That's a LONG time to put up with a woofie who is a menace to cats.
Oh, no! 12 weeks?! This is awful! We feel for you, George. We've never had a woofie around, but our Nicki likes to hiss and lunge at the one next door, through the fence. We don't think having a woofie around for 12 (!!!) weeks can be a good thing!
oh no! GEORGE!!!
George, We are so sorry you are being invaded bu aliens! Hopefully she will learn manners quickly!
Man it's getting crowded at your house!
Poor george! You're getting quite the menagerie over there!
Oh wow, 12 weeks is a long time! The good news is that she will be doing training - that maybe will help her to be better behaved!!
George! That is terrible! Would you like to move in for a bit? Mommy will never notice one more kitty.
Oh George! You make sure you keep Reyna in line with the occasional whap.
AACCKKK! Thats almost 2 whole kitty years!!! Totally not fair...
